HGV Delivery Driver

About the Role

The Driver role is responsible for ensuring the customer deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on-time.  In addition, they will assist the yard teams load the trucks for future runs, when required to do so.

Key Responsibilities

  • To drive with consideration and care, in accordance with the Highway Code and training received.
  • To comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachograph operation and working time regulations.
  • To check the load is correct to delivery documents for each delivery run, and is safely secure.
  • To take responsibility for the condition and security of the vehicle, and ensure it is kept in a clean, tidy and roadworthy state.
  • To follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order or delivery.
  • To collect the delivery and signature documentation for delivery runs.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and politeness at all times. 

About You

  • Minimum HGV Class 2 licence
  • Ideally experience with multi-drop deliveries, e.g. approx. 6 drops per run
  • Have a personable approach with customers, many of whom you’ll likely to get to know by name
  • Be resilient enough to meet challenges and obstacles with a positive, problem solving attitude in order to overcome them.
  • Experience of using lorry mounted forklift or cranes preferable, but all necessary training will be provided.
  • Can use knowledge and experience to be as productive as possible, whilst keeping to the transport rules and law
  • Takes pride in doing a great job
  • Need to be reliable, calm and able to work under pressure

Location: Hughenden or Walters Ash

Christmas/New Year shutdown

Fully Funded CPC (during a working day)

7.00am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Weekend Work 8am - 12.30pm
Every other Saturday (Mar to Aug)
One Saturday in three (Sept to Feb)

Salary: 35k- 42k (reviewed yearly)

Sales Order Executive

About the Role

The Sales Order Executive role is responsible for driving business sales from telephone, website or face-to-face enquiries, by building strong customer relationships through a desire to fulfil their needs and a deep understanding of our product offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver against monthly sales targets.
  • Manage inbound sales calls, answering queries, and providing advice to convert to sales. 
  • Provide quotes for follow-up, from email or website enquiries.
  • Ensure all CRM data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of our product offering.
  • Ensure all customers are served politely and efficiently, providing advice and assistance.
  • Ensure we don't over commit on delivery timings, and manage customer expectations accordingly.

About you

  • Have experience of taking phone orders accurately, giving the right advice to meet the customers needs
  • Have a personable approach with customers, many of whom you’ll likely to get to know by name
  • Be resilient enough to meet challenges and obstacles with a problem solving attitude in order to overcome them.
  • Be driven to achieve, with a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.
  • Track record of delivering sales targets, as part of a team
  • Experience of using Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure

7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday

8am - 12.30pm Every other Saturday

Salary: 30k - 35k (reviewed yearly)
